Comments about Royal Canadian Mint $15 Sterling Silver Coin King Edward VII (2008):

I am waiting for Victoria to arrive. I really enjoy the relief in these coins. The detail of Edward VII and George V wearing crowns and royal robes is especially appealing to me. I wish the rest in the series had also been present that way. It would also be interesting to have the series continue back through the earlier kings and queens. A Elizabeth I coin wearing her crown and ruffles would be exquisite.

I seldom see such high relief of a portrait and two effigies on the same coin.

Didn't do it for me.

Comments about Royal Canadian Mint $15 Sterling Silver Coin King Edward VII (2008):

I didn't realize just how severe the relief was. Didn't appear balanced to me. Inconsistencies on edges of the relief portion are too obvious. I much prefer the frosted monarch's head on the obverse. Also the edges have no serrations or other detail and the smooth edge reveals visible mill marks.

I put in a discount code when ordering but this didn't work. Emailed RCM. No response.
