Comments about Royal Canadian Mint $20 Pure Silver Commemorative Coin - Canoe (2011):
The thing that is so great about this coin is that is made of silver plus it will never loose its face value. It is nice to see a coin that can be placed in circulation if you wished to for the same amount of money you paid but that has silver in it. That is why I say that "everything old is new again". Before the late 1960's in the U.S. and Canada the coins from the 10 cents piece to the Dollar were made out of Silver and were meant to circulate. Of course I am planning on keeping my $20.00 coins and not placing them in circulation.

I purchase proof sets, specimen sets, and many other coins. roles of everything each year. I also shop at the mint in Winnipeg once each year.
I don't understand why we pay extra to have a coin wrapped. I don't think the bank's pay for their coins that are all in a roll?
Tax on coins?

Love the coin but wished that it was shipped sooner in time for Christmas. I ordered it in October.
