Very nice,I like this coin.A simple and yet strong design, not overly detailed, stands out at a distance.I'm happy with this one.

Comments about Royal Canadian Mint $10 Fine Silver Coin - Wood Bison (2011):

Stunning micro-grain surface textures on a silver coin. We have gotten used to seeing 2 surfaces finishes (mirror and frosted) on silver coins in recent years, but I can not remember seeing several different micro-grain surface textures as used together in the the native images on these coins. It gives the native images an appearance of multiple shading which usually does not appear on most coins that are not colored. It makes the native art work appear stunning and really pop out! When I first looked at the web image of this coin I thought it would be better in color, but after getting and seeing the actual coin, I really like it as the mint produced it. The web images don't reflect how stunning the surface textures make the artwork appear. I usually don't write reviews, but I am so impressed that I felt the desire to comment. Yes, it is pricy for a non-colorized, 1/2 ounce coin, and I was not sure about purchasing it at that price, but I am very glad that I did.
