This item does not come with a seperate certificate of authenticity as listed in the description. The "specifications" do show it as non-serialized and I it's my fault for not reading the specs. section more carefully as I was dissapointed with not having a unique mintage number. The coin is NOT limited to 10,000 units. The mintage is limited to 20,000 units (but only 10,000 packaged in this manner) which is somewhat decieving. This coins finish does not look like the picture. The shadows on the picture make it appear to be more heavily frosted than it really is. A little expensive for Sterling Silver...wish it was pure fine silver.

I too was originally shipped the Cupro Nickel version and was a bit disappointed until I read one of the other reviews here and realized that I didnt recieve the correct one. I emailed the mint and within a day or two recived a voice mail message on my phone telling me that the Sterling version would be shipped out to me.The mint also let me keep the original free of charge which I thought was good. I have now recieved the correct version (with correct display case) and I have to admit I am impressed with it.As a CDN forces vet, I only collect military themed coins, and was glad to acquire this for my collection. Thanks RCM.

Good looking Coin, mine came with a display case and information card, the case was in a sleeve with a couple of pictures on it of a plane and pilots. Very nice!

Very disappointed. I was hoping to display this on a shelf, however, NO DISPLAY case as represented in the description and photos from the RCM. It comes in a bubble envelope sealed in a plastic sleeve and card! What a mis-representation by the RCM. Price is out of sorts as you expect the cost to be for a portion towards the display case but, NOT. To me this was a scam. Very Disappointing with this representation by the RCM.

Royal Canadian Mint Response: We would like to apologize on behalf of the British Royal Mint and the Royal Canadian Mint to the small number of customers affected by a technical issue with a recent shipment of the Battle of Britain Coin. In some cases, this resulted in our shipping a proof version in cupro-nickel instead of the sterling silver proof version. All affected customers have been contacted and will receive the proper coin very soon.
