I was very excited to order this coin, and appreciate what I received. Others I know with the single dollar and the set have remarked the variance in detail of the king's image. More variance that one might expect from a short run. Our collective question might be if these were struck from regenerated original dies, or newly cut from the original design? If from old dies, the variance is more acceptable, but if new dies were cut, this falls below the usual standard of proof image consistency we have come to expect from the RCM. Regardless, the product is still a great idea.

I'm glad that I didn't waver too long before deciding on whether to order this coin. It seems to have appreciated already and I hope it stays this way. Now I wish I had purchased the overpriced set for [$] because it's selling for well over $200 now. This is definately not an investment coin, but a great keeper!
