I have my own collection, the last series with the bi-colour coins, but a few years ago when these first came out, my aunt started this collection for my sister. I find them (not a beautiful as mine) but still very detailed and well designed. I especially like the scalloped edges and the chinese character for each animal on the coins. Also how they don't waste space on the coin. The display case is very nice, but my aunt buys the boxes annyway because she also likes them separate so i wish there was an option to get each coin in a separate box or get the display case. However, they are very beautiful and a great quality.

The reason I said it was of bad value is because; note the "Subscriptions by credit card only. Your credit card will be charged as each coin is shipped during the autumn preceding the animal year. You can cancel your subscription at any time with no obligation and the collector case will be yours to keep with our compliments. Subscription price is subject to change. Shipping and handling charges apply to ship the collector case and individual coins." Highlight "Your credit card will be charged as each coin is shipped during the autumn preceding the animal year." This means the cost of each coin is charged EACH YEAR.

List of cons- mintage nearly trippled for the 3rd coin- coins with different specifications- [...]- no guarantee on futur prices for coinsThe RCM no longer cares about their customer's satisfaction. They have shown immense disrespect to many collectors by almost trippling the mintage, now people want to cancel their subscribtions due to that and are left with 2 coins. I will no longer be bying series subscriptions from the mint. Thanks again for ruining what was a potentially great collection!I just hope the RCM acknowledges the disapointment of others and myself and that they do something about it!!!

When I received my first shippment it included the tiger coin and the main display case. The coin came in an individual display box which I found very useful because who wants to display the full display case with only one coin in it? It does not look good. When I received my coin shipment for the following year the individual display box was not included, just the plastic coin cover. I contacted customer service and asked them do I need to cancel my subscription and order the coins individually every year to receive the proper individual display box, or can you include it? They said yes I do and no they will not. That was it. Instead of just including the individual box they chose to force me cancel my subscription and take the chance that I will order the coins every year! This is customer service at its worst. By the way, the price is the same.
