Let's just say the picture is so much better. I plan on buying coins on a yearly basis, but if this is what the Mint is selling, I might as well changes hobbies.
Comments about Royal Canadian Mint $150 Gold Coin - Year of the Tiger (2010):
Compared to the silver lotus series, which has very limited non-art stamping on the face, the face of the gold series coins seem relatively crowded with both 'Canada 2010' and '150 Dollars' appearing. Especially so given that the coin is smaller. For long term collectibility, I am also concerned that the series could be superseded in desirability by a future 99.9%+ gold series with the same lunar year theme. I love the art and look forward to the entire series but would have preferred to 'pay up' for 99.9% coins. I would not recommend the coin to friends if they didn't plan on buying the whole series.

being a set of great distinction of the chinese culture in gold coins. i do believe the RCM should increase the purity of coin and increase weight of coin. i think fatter rather than wider they still have room in display case for a fatter gold coin!!

This is an impressive coin done in 18K Gold. It displays extremely well - better than most. Even the different style box suits this coin and adds to the presentation.

This is a very nice coin. The whole collection will be beautiful when complete. I know RCM posts all coin specs. but i thought this coin was a little small for the price.
