I purchased the gold counter-part to this silver coin and in noting its detail and fine workmanship I realized that the silver version was a very good and under rated value for the price. So, I have decided to purchase a good quantity of these coins fully expecting them to rise in value. The Canadian Mint truly is one of the finest in the world and I look forward to the Mint issuing more of these wonderful historic interest coins.

Excellent strike and detail! This, the second coin, is possibly the start of an excellent theme series, that I will definitely be looking out for! The .9999 composition is always appreciated. Another excellent theme series by RCM definitely worthy of continuation.

This coin is a beautiful example of historic industrial activities, and would be greatly complimented by a series that focuses on other industries ( eg agricultural, fishing, logging, railroading ). This was bought as a gift for my father-in-law who spent most of his life in the mining industry and he loves it.
