Comments about Royal Canadian Mint 22-Karat Gold Coin - SS Beaver (2011):

I have displayed this coin in my parent's glass armoire and it looks fantastic. People want to pick it up and get a closer look. There's a great casing, as usual from the Royal Mint, which makes this easy for a first time collector. The laser etching is fine with nice details. I've decided to put the coin away from sunlight now but prior to I had it always out to admire. I hope the sun didn't fade it (actually it's probabaly just smudges on the case). Something seems unatural though. In this day and age we don't see black smoke. This feel like a page of our dirty history to obtain hybrid and fuel efficient cars. Plus, I've always imagined it was white steam smoke, but I guess that's what makes this authentic for the epoc. Finaly, the coin has some good weight, good size, a history story with the limited mintage number 1575/2800 and the queen looks fantastic (not as shiny as the rest/mat). The previous "oil industry" gold coin (according to me, if I may use some urban dictionary slang, a "Hellz Yea" coin) was the coin that struck my attention. However, I got this coin and it's a fine peace of art... a fine nod of the head for a fine peace of art. It probably a little pricey but I believe with the price gold it's probably worth more now.

Comments about Royal Canadian Mint 22-Karat Gold Coin - SS Beaver (2011):

Rcvd. item as gift. Was not interested in any of this coins in this series prior to rcvg. gift. Will pass it on to someone else as a gift. Over the past several years I've found the Canadian Mint products quite disappointing and ludicrously expensive.
